- Collect a clean-catch urine sample in a sterile container

- Collect a vaginal swab in a sterile container.
- Avoid using soap or other cleaning agents on the genital area before collecting the sample.
All body fluids
- Collect a sample of the fluid in a sterile container.
- Avoid contaminating the sample with urine or feces.
Uroculture
- Collect a clean-catch urine sample in a sterile container.
- Avoid using soap or other cleaning agents on the genital area before collecting the sample.
Coproculture
- Collect a fresh stool sample in a clean, dry container.
- Do not contaminate the sample with urine or toilet paper.
